Tim Jones

Creative Director

Tim cut his teeth in local newspapers, before progressing through local and national radio to become a political correspondent at BBC Westminster. From there, he pursued his passion for cameras to become a lighting cameraman and TV Producer/Director for BBC News. Tim toured the World and did stints in Washington and war-torn Iraq before returning to Wales to make programmes for the BBC. He has worked on investigations and consumer programmes, food films and unscripted items, including Wales Investigates, Panorama, Countryfile and The One Show. In 2013, Tim seized the opportunity to go freelance and offered his writing, film production, photography, and marketing services to companies and charities, mainly in Wales and the West of England. He has the experience you need to hone your brand story and tell it in a way which will grab attention and win new leads for your business.

Gail Jones

Production Manager

Gail Jones is a former BBC Production Manager who helped to set up BBC World News and kept a tight rein on spending at BBC Westminster. She organised the moving of hundreds of journalists around the UK for the political conference season every autumn. After that, she was Head of Production Modernisation at BBC Wales, driving through new ways of working and workplace efficiencies. Gail now assists Tim as As You See It Media’s Production Manager.

In need of a short film to introduce our new social enterprise project, we were very fortunate to be directed by Tim Jones of As You See It Media. He attended one of our workshop sessions and out of this created a concise and superbly edited short film, expertly splicing short clips from the music being played with interviews with participants. As an unobtrusive presence during the filming and as an interviewer Tim displayed sensitivity, professionalism and a rapid understanding of the nature of our work which was then successfully conveyed through the resulting 10-minute film.
